Scientists and engineers think outside the box, a vital quality needed to connect public policy with the future of science.

The Optica/materials_mrs Congressional Fellowship brings PhD-level scientists and engineers to U.S. Capitol Hill, where Fellows bring their experience in the lab to the decision-making process in Washington.

At the end of her tenure, 2023-24 Fellow Claire Cody, Ph.D., shared why she applied: "We scientists need to continue to explain how what we do impacts society, build public trust and advocate for the scientific enterprise.

By gaining experience on Capitol Hill, the Congressional Fellowship is the first step to establishing a lasting career in science policy.

Are you ready to make an impact? Apply by 04 December, more information in the comments.
