If you are an aspiring pro, you have probably sat in the back of a classroom ignoring your teachers, completely convinced that you will never need a textbook, a marketing framework, or a math equation on the pitch. This is a massive systemic issue in youth football. Education is routinely viewed as a distraction from the ultimate goal. I captained the Odorgonno Senior High School team to multiple victories and l was an of the best players in Accra. For a long time, I thought my feet would do all the talking. But when I made the pivotal decision to pursue a degree in Public Relations and Marketing at the University of Media, Art & Communication, my entire understanding of the sports industry changed.
