Y’all, tomorrow is my birthday, and I’m not gonna lie… I haven’t really been in the birthday mood. 🥹Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my life, and I have been enjoying and celebrating all the incredible events that I have worked this summer and this year, and even the incredible opportunities from working at wsvn , to transitioning out of that, and now starting my PhD stumiami . God has truly been good to me. 🙏🏾✨

But it wasn’t until I received this email this morning that, I’m not gonna lie, I broke down in tears. 😭

Because not only have I struggled with celebrating my wins, but I have genuinely been struggling with finding purpose outside of having a position at a company or being in a relationship.

And not only was the University of Miami one of God’s biggest blessings in my life because I had given up on American education and the education system here, but it opened so many incredible doors and allowed me to meet so many incredible people. 🧡

So I know not a lot of people are gonna read this, but for those that do…If you’re struggling to celebrate your wins, just know you deserve it. 🥹

You deserve to be proud of yourself. You deserve to pause and acknowledge how far you’ve come. You deserve to celebrate the doors God has opened, even when the next door isn’t clear yet.

And most importantly, you are the birthday and you are the prize. 🎂✨Don’t wait for a job title, a relationship, an achievement, or someone else’s validation to make you feel worthy.

You were worthy before all of it.

So tomorrow, I’m choosing to celebrate ME. Not because everything is figured out, but because I’m still here, I’m still dreaming, I’m still becoming, and I KNOW God isn’t finished with me yet. 🙏🏾

And if you needed this reminder today: take up space. Bet on yourself. Celebrate yourself. Walk like you know you’re chosen. You can take over the whole damn world. 🌎✨
