Titled ”Denim Hystoria,“ the Acne Studios Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection unfolds as a trans-historical fashion adventure—blending rebellion with romance—set against the backdrop of a striking carpet installation by artist Faig Ahmed. Designer Jonny Johansson deconstructs 17th- and 18th-century Rococo court styles and pirate aesthetics, skillfully infusing them with the brand’s signature punk-inspired deconstruction and denim craftsmanship. Sculptural tailoring and draped pleats define the silhouettes of classic gowns, while denim fabrics are embellished with Renaissance-style prints and lacquered floral motifs. A rich interplay of materials—including leather, brocade, taffeta, metal hardware, pirate boots, and dramatic tricorn hats—creates a perfect collision between rugged nonchalance and opulent courtly aesthetics, embodying the playful, artistic spirit of New Romanticism.
