“Growing up in Los Angeles, moving to Syracuse was a big adjustment for me. Back home, I was constantly surrounded by love and a strong sense of belonging from both my friends and family. Being so far from home was more challenging than I expected, and the hardest part has been the distance from the people who mean the most to me.

I decided to go through recruitment with the hope of finding a home away from home, expanding my community in Syracuse, and building lifelong connections. Joining AGD has already proven itself as the best decision I could’ve made for myself. The girls that I’ve met and those I already had the pleasure of knowing in AGD are the epitome of love, compassion, and empathy. From the moment I stepped into AGD for the first time, I felt immediately comfortable. Seeing familiar faces and being welcomed so warmly made it feel like home right away.

I want to give a shoutout to the amazing @rachelcoughlin, who has made my transition into AGD so much easier. I truly don’t know what my college experience would look like without you in my life. You are one of the most compassionate and kind people I know, and you make me laugh more than anyone else. Also, my lovely big @rachel.lessure, I’m so grateful for all the time, effort, and care you’ve already put into getting to know me and making me feel supported. I feel so lucky to have you as my big, and I already can’t imagine my experience without you. I’m so excited to keep creating so many memories together. I am so happy and grateful for everything AGD has already brought into my life, and I’m so excited for all the friendships, memories, and experiences in the years to come!”
