More often than not, belonging shows up as a feeling of calm and comfort. It’s not about having the most exciting conversation or saying everything perfectly, but about feeling at ease and accepted for who you are. The right place won’t make you second-guess yourself — it will simply feel like somewhere you can be yourself. For me, joining AGD ended up changing my life in ways I could have never expected. I’m a first-generation college student and the first in my family to go into Greek life, so I came into all this barely knowing what to expect, if anything at all — all I took with me was an open mind and positive mindset. What I found in the end was a community that believed in me before I fully even believed in myself. Through Alpha Gamma Delta, I found support, confidence, and a sense of leadership that has shaped my entire college experience. I’m lucky enough to have found my best friends through this chapter — Sandy, who has shown me loyalty and unwavering love and support to this day even after so much time together — Theresa, who I’ve served on two ECs with and found a best friend and confidant in — Caleigh & Jordyn, the backbones to my Recruitment Team who have impacted me for the better — and my AGD Fam away from home: Haven, Trinity, Erin, Sabrina, Maria & Izzy, who have made this place feel whole.

Having served as Vice President of Recruitment for two consecutive terms was one of the most meaningful parts of my time here, not because of that title, but because of the people who stood beside me, cheered me on, and helped me to grow into who I am today. I’m so glad to now be a New Member Director and be able to give more strong, independent women, that same feeling that this house is their home away from home like it is for me. AGD has not just been my home for 4 years, it is truly my home for good. My love forever goes to the lasting friendships and memories I’ve made here in this house. 💌
