MORE ABOUT THE BOOK:

In a fractured realm ruled by warring noble Houses and the tyrannical Prime of House Aethryos, the most coveted power lies in god-shards - divine fragments that grant extraordinary abilities to those who possess them.

Revel Wyn’s brother was murdered in pursuit of one.

For avenging her brother’s death, Revel should have received a death sentence. Instead, she’s forced to make a deadly bargain: compete in the Call - a bloody contest of heirs vying for power - on behalf of her enemies, and assassinate the realm’s most feared warrior and alchemist, the Warbringer.

Victory means her family’s freedom. Failure means certain death.

The Prime sets the heirs on an irresistible and brutal race to find the Night shard, a relic of immense power that could shift the balance of everything. Revel is ready to win at any cost. But her target, Axus Tassian - the Warbringer himself - isn’t the monster she was promised. Bound by secrets of his own to the cruel Prime, Axus is as dangerous as he is disarming.

With betrayals mounting and desire warring with duty, Revel must decide who to trust in a game where even the gods have their favorites.
