William Contreras has quickly become one of the most exciting catchers in Major League Baseball. He started his MLB career with the Atlanta Braves before joining the Milwaukee Brewers in 2022. Since then, he has become a three-time All-Star and a two-time Silver Slugger winner.

Contreras is currently playing an important role for the Brewers in the 2026 playoffs. In Game 1 of the NLDS against the Padres, he hit a go-ahead home run that traveled 406 feet, helping Milwaukee win 3–2. He continues to be an important part of the Brewers’ lineup and their playoff run.

Contreras also showed his defensive skills by throwing out a runner trying to steal second base. His throw reached 81.8 mph with a 1.84-second pop time. Even though his throwing velocity is not among the best in MLB, his quick release, accuracy, and timing make him a dangerous catcher against base stealers.
