This week’s Member Spotlight is ✨Destiny Escobar✨, a sophomore Psychology major with minors in Sports Media and Sociology.

Outside of Girls Club, Destiny works for the Texas Athletics Department in Game Operations as a senior student associate and is involved with both @hercampustexas and @wip_utaustin .

After graduation, Destiny plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s degree and eventually a Ph.D. Her goal is to become a sports psychologist and work with either the NCAA or NFL.

Destiny’s advice for aspiring women in sports: “Don’t let anyone tell you not to follow your dreams. Build connections with peers and professionals. Keep an open mind and stay true to yourself. But most of all, BE CONFIDENT in everything you do. You are capable and more than enough.”

Great advice, Destiny! We’re thrilled you chose Girls Club and can’t wait to see you continue to follow your dreams. 🫶 🥹
