The OAC’s best storylines heading into week 4! From upsets, to a rising contender, to the best scoring offense we might see this decade, the @oac1902 is bringing interesting stories to D3 college football!

1. What is happening at #24 Mount Union?

The Purple Raiders have fallen to 1-2 for the first time since 1988 and have lingering problems with ball security, pass protection and pass defense, all of which are near the bottom of the conference statistically.

Geoff Dart and this Mount Union team have a much-needed bye to fix any lingering issues.

2. Can #22 Heidelberg survive the season?

The Student Princes are 3-0 and just defeated the unanimous preseason #1 team in the conference and the pathway must get easier, right? Well, it’s hard to say, with great teams like Baldwin-Wallace, Ohio Northern and the rest of the conference, all competitors are looking to dethrone the underdog in college football.

However, Heidelberg’s momentum and offensive weapons like Drew Miller, Aiden Bradshaw and Dmitry Peters can keep defenses scrambling for answers.

3. Is Baldwin-Wallace the best team on paper?

The Yellow Jackets returned 8 All-OAC honorees in 2026, the most of any team, and with stars like QB Charlie Bubonics, RB George Linberger, WR Xavier Balson, along with fellow RB Boston Mulinix, this offense has scored 126 points in just 2 games.

And who can forget about Nolan Hartsel, one of the most feared linebackers in the country anchoring a stellar defense.

The Yellow Jackets are 2-0, but will play their conference opener this weekend. Can this offense keep it rolling?
