This might upset some people, but having “financial advisor” in your bio doesn’t mean you actually understand personal finance.

Take the time to learn the craft. I’ve seen people push products they don’t even understand themselves, just because they heard someone else say it and decided to repeat it. That’s not advice, that’s following a leader without knowing where they’re leading you.

And every time it happens, it doesn’t just hurt the person on the receiving end. It chips away at trust in this entire industry.

Learn what you’re talking about before you talk about it.
