🏙️🏳️‍🌈 Explore LGBTQ+ History in Chicago with the CSGD!

The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity is excited to offer Penn State students the opportunity to travel to Chicago, Illinois, November 5–8, for an immersive experience exploring LGBTQ+ history, culture, and community! 💜

Through historical and sociocultural learning and community engagement, students will discover Chicago’s rich LGBTQ+ history and its influence on the broader nation. This experience aims to deepen students’ understanding of queer history, explore the cultural transformations shaped by LGBTQ+ communities, and connect the past to the ongoing work of building a more inclusive future.

✨ Who can apply? This opportunity is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students at Penn State University Park.

✈️ What’s covered? Thanks to funding from the CSGD Excellence Fund, all trip expenses will be covered, including airfare, meals, lodging, and entry fees.

📌 Please note: This trip will follow a predetermined itinerary, with limited free time. Applications should only be submitted by students who can firmly commit to attending the entire trip.

Interested in exploring queer history, learning beyond the classroom, and connecting with LGBTQ+ history and community? We encourage you to learn more and apply!
