Tens of thousands of people took to the street in Spain to protest against the country’s housing crisis.

There were around 50 protests across the country calling for lower rent prices, a ban on evictions and to stop investment funds buying housing.

The Bank of Spain estimates the country is short of 700,000 homes, based on the gap between demand and new construction.
