Illustrator apparently doesn’t want your shapes to touch 🥹 

Well, there’s a reason why. And you can turn it on or off, hurrah!

Illustrator snapping: love it, hate it, can’t live without it.

When it’s ON, everything magically lines up. Anchor points, objects, guides… beautiful.

But try moving something 2 pixels and suddenly Illustrator has decided it knows better than you.

The pros: super useful for alignment, grids, typography and keeping things precise.

The cons: objects can jump around, tiny adjustments become a nightmare, and sometimes you just want to move the bloody thing where YOU want it.

Usually I keep it on for precision, and turn it off when Illustrator starts getting bossy.
