Illustrator just got a really useful update, especially if you like drawing freehand with the Pencil Tool.

You can now see a live preview as you draw, meaning no more weird surprises when you let go of the mouse or pen.

Before, you’d have to wait until you released the path to see the final shape. Now it updates in real time, which makes customising shapes, letters, illustrations, and typography so much smoother and more intuitive.

It’s perfect for quick lettering tweaks, flowing outlines, or building up illustrations with a more natural feel.

It’s really nice to see Adobe updating some of their hero tools to work in a more modern, responsive way. These kinds of improvements make a big difference in everyday workflows.
