#TakeActionTuesday: Calling all winter sports teams! Make National Girls & Women in Sports Day® (NGWSD®) a theme of one of your games this season.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of NGWSD on February 3, 2027, host a themed game that celebrates the girls and women making an impact through sports in your community. Even if February 3 doesn't fit your calendar, any game on or around the date works! You could partner with a college team to offer free tickets to local youth girls’ teams or use halftime at a youth, high school, or college game to recognize girls and women who lead and inspire others through sport.

To help you plan, WSF has free resources, including the official 40th anniversary NGWSD logo, a redesigned Event Planning Toolkit, new Social Media Toolkit, and participant certificates. We are excited to see what you plan! #TheEquityProject

Your Turn:
1. Head to WomensSportsFoundation.org/NGWSD to download our FREE resources and add your event to the official NGWSD map.

2. Ask your school and community teams to host an #NGWSD2027 event and take part in this nationwide celebration.

3. Tag a team you’d like to see host an NGWSD-themed event in the comments!
