Join us in discovering the new Into the Wild High Jewellery launch event by Cartier in Paris. Since the early 20th century, nature has been an omnipresent source of inspiration for Cartier, with the three-dimensional panther introduced in 1948 becoming a legendary emblem of freedom and female empowerment. Today, the Maison expands its horizons to tigers, parrots, carps, crocodiles, and rhinoceroses, redefining the imaginative boundaries of animal high jewellery through exceptional savoir-faire. The new animal head rings inherit the iconic sculptural weight of the 2000s panther head rings, blending bold colours with clever mechanical designs: the parrot captures vibrant tropical plumage with coral and tsavorite; the rhino pairs grey agate with internal openwork; the crocodile features an articulated jaw that opens and closes freely; while the tiger and carp weave sapphires and aquamarines into a dynamic blue spectrum.
The bracelets and timepieces demonstrate equal vitality. The double panther head bracelet shines in pure diamond pavé with geometric spots, while the snow leopard uses a fur-setting technique for a supple texture anchored by striking emerald eyes. The crocodile bracelet ingeniously conceals its clasp system inside its biting jaws, and the tiger bracelet utilises a fully articulated structure paired with inverted-set gemstone beads for kinetic movement. Lastly, the Panthère jewellery watch from the La Chaux-de-Fonds workshop merges ancient cameo relief concepts with refined lacquer details.
