One of Whitney Houston’s most iconic hits was actually written with Janet Jackson in mind for her Control album. Janet and her team ultimately passed on the song and it eventually landed in Whitney’s hands.

Whitney reportedly recorded the majority of her vocals in ONE TAKE! Her mother, Cissy Houston, also provided background vocals.

Released in 1985, “How Will I Know” became Whitney’s second No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit and helped cement her as a superstar.

Sometimes the song that gets passed on becomes the song that was meant for YOU! 💕
