I feel like as someone that a lot of women follow, moms especially, I need to say this so you know you’re not alone. So you don’t feel like you have to push through everything quietly. So you don’t feel dramatic or weak for struggling with something people can’t see.

Can we be real for a second. Lately my body has been doing the most. Dealing with GERD has been harder than I expected. The nausea, the chest discomfort, the constant feeling of being off. It’s draining. Some days I feel like I’m just trying to make it through the day without spiraling.

Please don’t mistake this for me not being grateful. I love my life. I love my kids. I love my husband. I prayed for this life and I’m thankful for it. But loving your life doesn’t mean your body can’t be tired or overwhelmed.

There are days I show up to motherhood already exhausted. I’m still doing the things. Making sure everyone is good. Holding it together. Being present. Even when my stomach is uneasy or my chest feels tight. I still show up as a wife too, even when I don’t feel like myself physically. That part doesn’t get talked about enough.

I’ve been praying a lot lately. The quiet prayers. The ones where I ask God for relief, for peace, for patience. Asking Him to help me slow down and listen to my body instead of fighting through it just to prove I can handle everything.

It’s not that I don’t want my kids to see me be human. I just don’t always know how to explain that my tears aren’t sadness. They’re exhaustion. They’re my body asking me to rest while my heart keeps giving.

If you’re a mom dealing with something invisible, health stuff, anxiety, burnout, just know you’re not alone. You’re still a good mom. You’re still a good partner. Showing up when it’s hard still counts.

I’m learning to give myself grace in this season. To slow down without guilt. To trust that this won’t always feel like this and that even here, even now, I’m doing my best. And that’s enough 🤍
