From there, the floor opens up. Other students press Cliffe on whether prayer is really just self-help, whether ethics can stand on their own without God, and why certain gospels were left out of the Bible.

Eventually, someone asks the question skeptics raise most: if God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving, why does evil exist at all? Cliffe calls it the hardest question he faces, and walks through how free will fits into his answer.
