Nathalie Kelley was virtually unknown when The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift turned her into Neela, one of the movie’s most memorable characters.

Released in 2006, Tokyo Drift introduced an entirely new cast and shifted the franchise away from traditional street racing into Japan’s underground drifting scene.

Kelley’s Neela was already part of that world when Sean Boswell arrived, with her relationship to Drift King Takashi putting Sean directly into conflict with Tokyo’s top street racer.

She was also shown as a capable driver herself, most notably behind the wheel of her Mazda RX-8 while introducing Sean to the smoother, more controlled side of drifting.

Kelley was only around 20 when she landed the role and later admitted she barely knew what she was doing at the time, describing Tokyo Drift as her breakout into acting.

Nearly two decades later, Neela remains heavily associated with the movie’s unmistakable mid-2000s JDM aesthetic alongside Han, DK, the VeilSide RX-7, Evo IX and Mustang drift car.

Would you want to see Nathalie Kelley return as Neela in a future Fast & Furious movie?

What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
