🔥 BMW M has officially built its 1,000,000th high-performance vehicle, and the milestone car is a G80 M3 finished in BMW Individual Fire Orange III.

The car rolled off the line at BMW Group Plant Munich, marking more than five decades since BMW Motorsport GmbH began shaping the M division we know today.

BMW traces that story back to the 1973 3.0 CSL, the first car developed by the newly formed BMW Motorsport GmbH and a machine that helped establish M’s lightweight, motorsport-first philosophy.

The 3.0 CSL became a dominant touring-car weapon, winning six European championships between 1973 and 1979 and earning its famous “Batmobile” nickname from its extreme aero package.

Fast-forward to 2026 and the millionth M car is still an M3, tying BMW M’s motorsport roots directly to one of its most recognizable modern performance sedans.

BMW has also confirmed that Munich will build the first fully electric BMW M3, while the main Munich plant is scheduled to transition to exclusively electric-vehicle production from 2027.

From the 3.0 CSL to a Fire Orange III M3 and eventually an electric M3, which era of BMW M would you choose?

What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
