👀 Mate Rimac finally came face-to-face with the exact kind of BMW E30 build he has described as a dream project.

The Bugatti Rimac CEO previously said he wanted to create a heavily reworked E30 with a V10 engine, making this encounter especially fitting.

The car in the clip belongs to Jim Amelinckx and uses BMW’s 5.0-liter S85 V10, the same engine family found in the E60-generation M5.

Rimac immediately inspected the car, opened the hood and seemed genuinely impressed by how neatly the massive V10 fit inside the compact E30 chassis.

His connection to the E30 runs deep, since one of his earliest major projects involved converting an E30 into an electric performance car long before Rimac became a hypercar manufacturer.

He also owns an original E30 M3 Sport Evolution, so the platform clearly remains one of his favorite BMWs.
