Only player to ever come back better after an injury btw!😴🐐 (SWIPE)

Kevin Durant really tore his Achilles in the 2019 NBA Finals, missed the entire 2019-20 season, and came back looking like he somehow got BETTER 😭🔥 In his first season back with the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant averaged 26.9 PPG, 7.1 RPG and 5.6 APG while shooting an absurd 53.7% from the field and a career-best 45.0% from three.

Then the 2021 playoffs happened. Kevin Durant elevated to 34.3 PPG, 9.3 RPG and 4.4 APG across 12 postseason games, and against the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks he went completely nuclear: 35.4 PPG, 10.6 RPG and 5.4 APG in the seven-game series. Brooklyn pushed Milwaukee all the way to overtime in Game 7 before the Bucks advanced.

People were genuinely questioning whether KD would ever be the same player after one of basketball’s most feared injuries, just for him to return and immediately remind everybody why he’s one of the greatest scorers ever. Going from “career over” conversations to nearly eliminating the eventual champions while putting up those numbers is one of the craziest comeback stories in NBA history. 🐐💯
