When I was incarcerated, there wasn’t much about my life that I had control over.

But I could control how I used my time.

I’d wake up early and knock out 1,000 push-ups before the doors even popped for breakfast. When we got yard time, I took advantage of every minute—pull-ups, push-ups, dips, whatever I could do.

It was a shitty situation, but I refused to waste all of it.

Some of the habits I built in there came home with me. Years later, I still wake up early, train, and try to make the most of the time I have.

You can’t always control your circumstances. You can control what you do inside of them. 🎯
