🎾 College Tennis Should Be More Than a Backup Plan
If a player is good enough to pursue professional tennis, they are often good enough to first pursue a college scholarship and the opportunities that come with it.

The proper order should be:

Education → Development → Team Competition → Professional Tennis

College tennis should be a place to grow—not simply a fallback option.

When players choose schools primarily for the highest scholarship or NIL offer, we risk losing something important: school pride, tradition, team identity, and the rivalries that make college tennis special.

And when a player returns to college after pursuing the pros, it can be difficult to recreate that same connection to the school and its traditions if college was viewed only as a backup plan.

College tennis should be about education, development, team identity, pride, and opportunity.

🎓🎾 Not simply Plan B.
