Steven Spielberg and my childhood ticket stubs. Surreal to think this was my 10th time speaking with Steven Spielberg. Mr. Spielberg joined my podcast in June to discuss Disclosure Day and his incredible career. At the end, I wanted to know what Spielberg collected as a child. The idea that I was a kid, sitting in these theaters and watching this films, and then years later, handing those tickets to the filmmaker who made me dream…it’s absolutely insane to me. To this day, I still get nervous anytime I’m in a room with Spielberg. It doesn’t feel real. And I don’t want that to ever change. For context about the ratings, earlier in the conversation, Spielberg was telling me the incredible story about how he helped to create the PG-13 rating after the MPAA was receiving complaints about the violence in PG-rated films like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom & Gremlins. @Amblin Entertainment Clip from my On Film…With Kevin McCarthy” podcast.
