Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum released photos showing him visiting Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar, whom he praised for his courage during an incident aboard flight FZ1073. Hamdan described Machchhar as 'the flydubai pilot who embodied the highest degrees of courage, responsibility, and care for human life.' Machchhar was attacked by his co-pilot with a crash axe aboard flydubai flight FZ1073, which was bound for Israel, in an alleged attempt to crash the aircraft. The jet, carrying 174 people, plunged nearly 14,000 feet (4,267 metres) in less than 30 seconds during the incident. #dubai #flydubai #israel #uae
