Novak Djokovic claimed the 102nd singles title of his career after Alex de Minaur retired injured from the China Open final.⁣
⁣
The 39-year-old led 7-6 (7-3), 0-1 when De Minaur was forced to retire with an apparent left thigh injury.⁣

Djokovic extended his unbeaten run at the China Open to 34 matches, having won the tournament seven times.⁣
⁣
The victory means Djokovic has won at least one singles title for 21 consecutive years.⁣
