## Caption

Eyewitness footage shows the Frannçois Rabelais high school in Metz, eastern France, in flames. ⁣
⁣
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. ⁣
⁣
The Public Prosecutor said he could neither “confirm nor rule out a link” between the fire and the nationwide high school protests over the past few days.⁣
⁣
Protesting students say their school hours are needlessly long, there are too many staff absences and classroom conditions are inadequate.⁣
