Israel killed at least five Palestinians, including four women, in a strike on an apartment building in Gaza city on Saturday, according to health and civil defense service officials.⁣
⁣
Since the US-brokered ceasefire was called in October 2025, Israeli forces have killed over 1,400 people, according to Gaza's Health Ministry, whose figures the UN deems reliable.⁣
⁣
Israel, which says Hamas has been rearming and launching attacks in violation of the ceasefire, has stepped up strikes on the group in recent weeks.⁣
⁣
Hamas has denied trying to carry out attacks or rebuild its arsenal and accuses Israel of undermining the Gaza peace deal.⁣
