East Bengal FC produced a sensational comeback victory at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, demolishing NorthEast United FC 7-2 to advance to the IFA Shield 2026 final.

After Alaaeddine Ajaraie gave the Highlanders an early lead in the second minute, Antonio Lopez Habas’ men stormed back. David Lalhlansanga starred with a brilliant hat-trick, supported by goals from Rohit Kumar and Chris Ikonomidis. Ajaraie completed a brace for NEUFC in the second half, but debutants Ake Loba and Lukasz Zwolinski sealed the result. The Red and Gold Brigade now face arch-rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant in a blockbuster Kolkata Derby final ⚽🔥
