Trending hold & scroll posts for August 2026

If you haven’t seen already, these types of posts are going VIRAL on Instagram!

Here’s how they work👇

☁️ When you hold down on the grey dots under a carousel post, Instagram gives you the ability to swipe through quickly*

*try it on the post to see what I mean!

🐚 People quickly figured you could use this new feature to turn carousels into ‘stop motion’ like animations!

🤍 Simply upload multiple slides of a carousel that change slightly on each slide to create your own!

Here are 4 fab examples of trending hold + scroll posts ✨

The best part??👇

THESE ARE ALL CANVA TEMPLATES!! 🤩

💬 Comment: “TEMPLATE” and I’ll show you where to find them 🙊
