MAY 2026 TREND REPORT ✨📊

here’s everything that’s going to be trending on Instagram in May 2026 🔥🔥

From design trends and carousels, to trending audio and single posts 🙊 I’ve got it all in this incredible post!

Here’s what’s trending in May 2026:

- Tiny metal tins are a cute new addition in the design trends I see coming up for May! Use them to share toolkits, products, or photo dumps!

- the ‘tap to reveal’ trend is about to make a huge comeback, especially with this fake ‘tap to download’ take!

- Writing a fake email / text / letter / note to yourself or your audience is a great way to tell a story!

- As always, some great trending single posts going around, including: ‘the call I’ll never ignore’ and ‘Google translate’ trends!

- The Met Gala is happening on the 4th of May! Be sure to watch it live to be first to make the memes 🤭

- Some cool creative ways to share what’s happening in May
- An *actual* POV reel!
- The hook “[XYZ]s I’m Crushing on this month…
