Gender wars aren’t just “I hate men” or “I hate women.”

Sometimes it looks like a joke.
Sometimes it’s a stereotype.
Sometimes it’s an assumption.
Sometimes it’s trauma that quietly changed the way you see an entire group of people.
And that’s what I think we need to examine.

Your trauma can explain why you think a certain way without making that way of thinking righteous. Men have hurt women. Women have hurt men. We should never excuse evil from either side.

But if we’re made in the image of God, we can’t let the worst people we’ve encountered become the lens through which we see everyone else.

“…God created man in his own image… male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

Men aren’t your enemy. Women aren’t your enemy.

Sin is.

Let’s stop feeding gender wars even in the little ways we don’t think matter.
