The Joffrey Concert Group joffreyconcertgroup recently took part in Second Nature, a New York Climate Week event organized by Overstories overstories.earth, performing an excerpt from “FISTS and feathers” by Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Bradley Shelver bradshelver.

Inspired by the wild nature, power, mystery, and grace of big cats, “FISTS and feathers” brings Bradley Shelver’s choreography to the dancers of the Joffrey Concert Group, exploring the strength and movement of these animals through contemporary ballet.

Next up, the full work will make its world premiere as part of vildwerk.’s vildwerk “Dancing for the Wild” at New York City Center on January 21, 2027. This one-night-only event brings dance and conservation together through five world premieres created to inspire greater awareness and connection to the natural world.

Thank you to Overstories for including the Joffrey Concert Group in Second Nature. We look forward to sharing the full work this January!

Tickets to “Dancing for the Wild” can be found at the link in our bio.

Purchase by October 31 and use code FFD26 to save 20% on your tickets.
