Wisconsin’s Strongest Man & Woman 2026. Chevy Trax deadlift for reps.

The judging standard was very specific: complete the lift, wait for the judge’s down command, return the apparatus under control, and repeat. That changed the rhythm compared with simply cycling reps as quickly as possible.

I finished with 8 competition reps.

This was one of the events I was especially interested in seeing after months of building my deadlift strength. A car deadlift isn’t the same thing as pulling a barbell from the floor, and competition introduces another variable: the rep only counts when it meets the standard being called that day.

Eight reps went on the scorecard.
