#KWeeklyNEWS
Raw energy over perfect polish. This week’s K-pop picks sound best in the middle of the chaos.
1️⃣ CLOSE YOUR EYES - “Drop That!”
CLOSE YOUR EYES return with “Drop That!,” a title track that samples Yoon Si-nae’s Korean jazz-funk classic “Let’s Enjoy Tonight” and flips it into a ’90s street hip-hop mood. After the more delicate “Open Your Eyes,” the group leans into something sharper, louder, and more instinctive.
2️⃣ BOYNEXTDOOR - “ANIMAL”
BOYNEXTDOOR’s “ANIMAL” is already finding its second life on short-form platforms. With choreography inspired by animal-like movements and a hook built for repetition, the track turns its restless, charging energy into a performance moment.
3️⃣ KickFlip - “Puzzle Piece”
KickFlip’s “Puzzle Piece” captures youth before everything falls perfectly into place. Mixing dreamy sounds with rough-edged pop-punk, the track turns unfinished moments into part of the bigger picture — a reminder that being incomplete can still be its own kind of beauty.
Which one is staying with you this week?
