Revealed in New York City this morning, Hyundai calls the redesigned Tucson its boldest SUV yet and says the model embodies its “Art of Steel” ethos. The mid-size crossover is 2.6 inches longer, 1.5 inches wider, and three-quarters of an inch taller than its predecessor. 
 
The heart of the new Tucson is Hyundai’s next-generation hybrid system. All 2027 Tucson units feature a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, some of which are assisted by a hybrid electric powertrain. A 184-horsepower internal combustion only model will also be available.
