In all seriousness though, we recently did these 3 hikes for the first time, and we were so happy with how beautiful the views were and how they weren’t crowded at all!

While we didn’t have the trails completely to ourselves, for the majority of all three hikes we did, and it was so nice and a great contrast from popular trails like Pico do Arieiro and Ponta de São Lourenço 🤗

📍 Nun’s Path or the Nuns Valley Trail ⛰️
6.3 km return / 2.9 miles (up and down)
639 m / 2097 ft. elevation gain
2.5 hours walking + extra time for lunch in Curral das Freiras

📍 Santa Cruz Steam Route 🌿
6.8 km / 4.2 miles (loop trail)
377m / 1237 ft elevation gain
2.5 to 3 hours

📍 Caminho Real do Paul do Mar 🌊
3.6 km / 2.2 miles (up and down)
550 m / 1805 ft elevation gain
2.5 to 3.5 hours
