First flight. One bank toward the camera. A room full of people holding their breath.

In SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY, the crew recalls the moment Reeve made Superman’s flight feel real: he banked toward the camera, swept past, and left the set in silence—then cheers.

The Flying Unit was learning as it went, but that performance gave the illusion its soul.

Which Christopher Reeve flight moment still gives you goosebumps?
