Three years & about 6,000 yards later …

Syracuse committ Elijah Kimble ’27 gave one of his first interviews #onthisday three years ago after being offered by Oregon during his freshman year.

Kimble enters Saturday’s 2 p.m. home game vs. Canadian national power Huron Heights 197 yards away from becoming Western New York’s all-time leading rusher.

Kimble has rushed for 6,363 career yards; the WNY leader is Jehuu Caulcrick of Clymer (6,559 yards; 1999-2002).

Kimble also has 89 career touchdowns, which is now third place on WNY’s all-time touchdown list. Caulcrick also tops that list at 101, second is Reggie Garner (90, Cardinal O’Hara, 2004-07).

Families and youngsters interested in CHS Football are welcome to attend our Youth Football Day on Saturday, were coach Kraig Kurzanski ’84 and other members of the program will join registered guests for complimentary pizza and a meet and greet at 1 p.m., prior to the 2 p.m. kickoff against Huron Heights.

Register at canisiushigh.org/youthfootball

Students and families interested in CHS Football and the excellence only found in a Jesuit education at Canisius – ranked by Buffalo Business First as the Buffalo area’s “Best Catholic School” and WNY’s top private school in “Best High Schools for Athletes” – can also learn more by reserving a spot for our Open House on Sunday, Oct. 18 or Monday, Oct. 19 via canisiushigh.org/openhouse
