Meet adoptable Shane, a 24 lb mixed breed pup with a sweet little face and a very strong appreciation for cuddles, dog friends, and unattended laundry.

Shane was found as a stray limping on one foot, which likely came from an injury he sustained while living life on the streets. Despite having reliable use of only three legs, he was remarkably hard to catch! A group of Good Samaritans followed him around for hours, and with the assistance of their personal dogs, they finally were able to get him to safety! Thankfully, his foot injury turned out to be minor, and he has been healing really well with some rest.

Life of a street dog is now in his past! Now that he is settling in, Shane is showing us what a lovely little guy he is. He is very dog friendly, loves affection, and has all the makings of an excellent cuddle buddy. He is crate trained, mostly house trained, and apparently believes that any shoes or laundry left within reach have been placed there specifically for him. So yes, Shane prefers a clean house 😂

He can be a little picky about his food, but otherwise this boy is doing great and is ready for the next chapter.

Shane will be available for foster-to-adopt starting October 10. Interested in adopting Shane? Register to adopt at www.hbrdogs.org/adopt. Already registered? Email our adoption team at adopt@hbrdogs.org.
