There's a stillness of the Alaskan taiga from the open ramp of an HC-130J Combat King II while preparing to deploy a parabundle over the Malemute Drop Zone. Loadmasters assigned to the 210th, 211th and 212th Rescue Squadrons—the Alaska Air National Guard’s 176th Wing Rescue Triad—is one of the busiest combat search and rescue units in the world and train here to support some of the most remote environments on earth.
