26 years ago, the world was shaken by the tragic murder of 10-year-old Damilola Taylor. This week, the BBC released a moving documentary exploring the final 24 hours leading up to his death

The documentary’s commentary was led by Damilola’s older brother, Tunde, alongside close friends and neighbours John and Grace Boyega, and Caleb Femi.

Since its release, the documentary has sparked important conversations online about the sociological and racial factors at play during the early 2000s, and how the circumstances surrounding Damilola’s death reflected wider issues within society at the time

May Damilola rest in peace 🕊️
