Bellingham Dog Rescue Founder Charged With 30 Counts Of Animal Cruelty After 30 Dogs Rescued🚨🐶

A Bellingham dog rescue founder is facing 30 counts of first-degree animal cruelty after authorities rescued about 30 dogs from a property near Lynden. Investigators say the dogs were severely underweight, had open wounds, parasites and matted fur, and lacked adequate food and water.

Ashley Georgia, 38, founder of Pittie Project PNW, was charged Wednesday. Volunteers had previously removed 13 dogs from the property, while the remaining animals were taken into care by the Whatcom Humane Society for medical treatment. The charges are allegations, and the investigation remains ongoing.
