Chunky Puppy Day results are in.

For those wondering, Chunky Puppy Day is the annual weigh-in of the sled dog puppies at Denali National Park and Preserve’s kennels.

This year, “Mammoth” took the crown as Chunkiest Puppy of the Season. When asked for comment, he replied in a series of short barks, “I came. I saw. I chonked.” Translation not confirmed. 

The final weigh-in:

🐶 Acadia — 60.8 pounds
🐶 Sequoia — 65.1 pounds
🐶 Rainier — 66.7 pounds
🏆 Mammoth — 77.1 pounds

The time has come to say goodbye to Puppy Cam for the season. The last day to watch is Friday, October 9, with the webcam signing off at 2 p.m. Alaska time. Each fall, the webcam goes offline as temperatures drop below freezing and the nights get darker and longer. Meanwhile, the staff and adult dogs get busy with their fall training in preparation for winter. The Puppy Cam will return in early summer denalinps
