MORE THAN CHARACTERS. MORE THAN BASKETBALL.

Meet Mya, & Kira, and get ready to see a lot more of them.

We created our Buzz City avatars for a very specific reason.

Young athletes face challenges that go far beyond learning how to dribble, shoot or defend.

They experience mistakes. Failure. Pressure. Confidence issues. Being left out. Sitting on the bench. Difficult coaches. Tough teammates. Losing games. Selection disappointment. Comparison with others. Fear of making mistakes. Motivation. Expectations. And sometimes simply wondering…

“Am I good enough?”

These are all part of growing up in sport.

And they’re exactly the conversations we want to have.

Through Mya, Trey and Kira, we can tell stories based around the situations young athletes experience every day, both on and off the basketball court.

Sometimes they’ll make mistakes.

Sometimes they’ll struggle.

Sometimes they’ll succeed.

And sometimes they’ll simply need to hear the message that so many young athletes need:

Keep going. You’re learning.

Through short stories, instructional content and motivational videos, our avatars will help us provide insight, advice, education and support around the challenges young people encounter throughout their basketball journey.

Because at Buzz City, development has never just been about creating better basketball players.

It’s about helping young people develop confidence, resilience, self-belief, accountability, leadership and the courage to fail while continuing to move forward.

Basketball gives us the classroom.

Life provides the lessons.

And Mya, Trey & Kira are going to help us tell those stories.
