Blue Planet III is officially on its way🌊🐋

The BBC has released the first extended trailer for the six-part series, which arrives on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, and Sir David Attenborough is back to narrate it at 100 years old

Using a new generation of underwater camera technology, the series will explore tropical seas, the open ocean, seasonal seas, polar waters and the mysterious deep.

The final episode, Future Seas, will examine the threats facing our oceans while also sharing stories of recovery and hope.

Sir David said he never imagined he would be narrating a third series in his centennial year, 25 years after the original Blue Planet first aired.

The king of Sunday night television is heading back beneath the waves. We will absolutely be watching 🙌
