🇺🇸 THE U.S. GOVERNMENT JUST MOVED OVER $1 BILLION IN #BITCOIN 👀

Blockchain monitoring from Galaxy Research flagged a massive Bitcoin transaction linked to U.S. government-controlled funds recovered from the Bitfinex hack.

The reported transfer:

🟠 12,267 BTC
💰 Approximately $1.02 BILLION
⛓️ Bitcoin block 970,496
🕒 October 8, 2026
➡️ Recipient attribution: Unknown

Galaxy Research identified the destination as a possible intermediary or staging address before a Coinbase deposit.

But that does NOT confirm the Bitcoin was sold or even deposited at Coinbase.

And that's an important distinction.

The U.S. government controls substantial amounts of Bitcoin recovered through criminal investigations and asset seizures.

Moving those coins could reflect custody arrangements, internal transfers, asset administration or preparations for a future transaction.

In other words 👉 One of the world's largest known government-linked Bitcoin movements has just appeared on-chain, and the destination deserves attention.

The blockchain shows the movement.

It does not yet reveal the government's ultimate intention.
